Fun fact, Olivia’s father Walter de Havilland was the uncle of Geoffrey de Havilland, the founder of the de Havilland Aircraft Company (builder of the very first commercial jetliner, the Comet).

I did not know that. Thanks! And in more war-related GWTW facts, Leslie Howard (who played Ashley Wilkes in the film ) was killed when the camouflaged KLM DC-3 he was riding in was shot down over the Bay of Biscay on  June 1, 1943.
